Thank you for inquiring about ArtWalk. The citizens of Delray Beach are committed to a dynamic urban outdoor gallery called "Pineapple Grove ArtWalk." Toward this end, they have hired Glenn Weiss as its director and recruited artists such as Michael Singer, Buster Simpson and Blane De St Croix as advisors. In the next few years, these citizens will transform the ArtWalk into a regional visual arts destination.
During the first new installations this November, ArtWalk is seeking existing artwork for a 6-12 month loan. ArtWalk will pay for the shipping, installation and insurance. During the season, November-March, ArtWalk will sponsor your trip to Delray to give a lecture. The beautiful Colony Hotel has donated a room for the visiting artists.
For promotion, ArtWalk will publish a package of postcards for distribution and a limited number of posters for display in local and regional arts settings. Local and regional media we will vigorously pursued. Curators and directors from museums in Palm Beach, Miami and southern Florida will be given personal tours of the ArtWalk. We will have a website where links to your website, gallery or museum shows can be listed.
If you wish to offer the work for sale, art collectors will be able to call the ArtWalk office where we will personally encourage each person to consider the purchase. ArtWalk is not in the art sales business, but we would like to go a little beyond just giving the price and the artist's phone number.
An art selection committee will review the available existing artworks submitted by professional artists. Please send your current resume and slides of available artworks to a maximum of five works. If it is not obvious in the slides, please prepare a slide annotation list with the size of works, materials and special requirements like electricity. Be aware that the ArtWalk is about one-half mile from the Atlantic Ocean.
Please send the slides to:
